Devon Deciphered, by John Booker, is the first book written about the art of reading old handwriting from a Devon perspective, using documents created in the county. As part of the 2017 Explore Your Archive programme, John Booker will talk about the book and the documents which are used in it, many of which will be on display.

Copies of the book will be on sale, and John will be happy to sign them.

There's no charge for attending, nor is it obligatory to book in advance, but it would be very helpful if prospective attendees could contact Brian Carpenter by Nov 17th.
